HEIDI GAMREL
Hello, my name is Heidi Gambrel, I am from Crawfordsville Indiana. I have been an assistant for 29 years and been working at this office for 20 years. I am a graduate of Crawfordsville High School and went to assisting school at Ivy-Tech Community College. I am married to my husband Todd; we have two sons Thatcher and Rowan, and a dog named Mackey. Our office shows compassion and support to make our patients feel comfortable during their dental experience. I also enjoy providing quality dental care and education to our patients. Mishler Dental is a wonderful place to work.
TARA TOWNSEND
My name is Tara Townsend and I’m from Crawfordsville, IN. I graduated from Ivy Tech Community College for Expanded Functions Dental Assisting in 2016. I have been with Mishler Dental since 2017 and I love our office! We have wonderful patient’s and our team is like family! Dr. Mishler is a great guy to work for!
When I’m not at work I enjoy spending time with my family- Joe, Cash, Mazi & our dog Leo, traveling and planning trips, photography and shopping!
MEGAN BOWLUS
My name is Megan, I am from Attica, Indiana-Go Ramblers! I have been an Expanded Functions Dental Assistant for 9 years now with 3 of those years being with Mishler Dental. I graduated from Ivy Tech Community College in 2016. My husband Cody and I have been married for 7 years now and together we have a 3-year-old son, who is our whole world. When I’m not in the dental office you can find me enjoying the outdoors or reading a good book. I enjoy working at Mishler Dental because we are continuously training and learning new skills or technologies to be able to provide patients with the most advanced and effective care. We also have a great environment in our office where you can always hear some good music and laughter!
REBEKAH MARTINEZ
Hi I am Rebekah, I grew up in Iowa. I moved to the Crawfordsville area about 15 years ago. I graduated from Ivy Tech dental assisting school in Aug. 2018. I have been working in Waveland since 2018. I was happy to join Mishler dental in 2020. I am married and have a daughter. I am passionate about dentistry and am blessed to have the opportunity to get to know our patients and provide outstanding dental care.
JULIA FOSTER VAN CLEAVE
Hi, my name is Julia, I am from Fountain County where my husband Mitchell and I live with our German Shepard Floyd and our two cats Margo and Mango. I graduated from dental assisting school in 2017 and began working in dentistry right away. I have been with Mishler Dental since 2020 in both the Waveland and Crawfordsville offices. I enjoy working in dentistry because every day is different, the rapport we have with our patients is unmatched, and my coworkers have created a pleasant office environment that makes every day enjoyable.
CARLA DESMET
Hi! I’m Carlie DeSmet. I’m from Crawfordsville and graduated from North Montgomery in 2022. I’ve been working at Mishler Dental since June 2024. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with friends and family, tanning by the pool, traveling, hiking, and shopping (maybe a little too much). I also coach girls’ tennis and volleyball at North Montgomery Middle School. I love working at our office because every day brings something new—it’s fast-paced, and my coworkers feel like family.

We will attempt to arrange your appointments to fit your daily schedule as much as possible. Usually, this goal is easily accomplished due to our flexible office hours. However, some treatments are best performed at certain times of the day. In the case of dental emergencies, we will schedule you as soon as possible; our available times may not correspond to your preferred appointment time. As a courtesy to our other patients, we kindly request 2-business days notice when you are cancelling or rescheduling an appointment. Due to the high demand for late afternoon/evening appointments, if less than 2-business days notice is given, we can no longer reserve these appointments for you. We would, however, be happy to place you on a cancellation list and call you when a late day appointment becomes available.
